小手撓撓:171.9.32.204有別于慣常的那種片場花絮式紀錄片，這部是從人物傳記剖析的層面獨立成章，和電影正片平行，大量補充電影里沒講全的事情。相當于是頂配版的“電影傳奇”，分5個章節完整地敘述蕭紅一生經歷，有研究專家和蕭紅侄子的訪談，有電影主創團隊的見解，收錄了許多成片里舍棄掉的橋段畫面。比較重要的是端木曾早在1936年上海見到并不相識的穿紅裙的蕭紅，這個起點對端木的形象很重要，很遺憾在電影正片里剪掉了。 甚至可以說，這部紀錄片比正片更好，更有助于理解眾多人物的形象，非常貼切地引用當事人的詩句，有貫穿始終的旁白介紹。人物年齡也做了明確的注腳，比如端木是比蕭紅小一歲的。 -
